Involvement

They say it takes a village to raise a child.  At Mountain View, we recognize
and appreciate the hard efforts of family.  We strive to hold our students to
the highest values and we believe that collaborative work between parents
and staff is a must. Parents at MVMCS commit to volunteering 30 hours of
their time per year.  This is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child
and his/her school;  the gift of time.  

There are also several simple ways parents, relatives, friends and
neighbors can support Mountain View Montessori financially. These
options conveniently incorporate many of our daily practices.  Things we
already buy, places we already shop, and activities we already do on a
regular basis.

Planet Green Ink Cartridge Recycling: Drop off your empty inkjet and
laser toner cartridges to MVMCS.  We will be placing a Cartridge Recycling
Bin outside of the school.  This is a VERY easy way to help us earn money
for our school.

Target: To have one percent of your Target purchases benefit MVMCS,
follow these steps:

1.) Obtain a Target Red Card (Visa)
2.) Go online to designate Mountain View Montessori as the school you'd
like to benefit.

Note: If you do not want a Target Visa Card, you can opt for a debit card
that links directly to your checking account.  Imagine if we all did this, we
could earn a great deal from our purchases at Target!

BoxTops:  Earn cash for our school every time you shop for groceries.
Clip Box Tops from hundreds of your favorite products.* Each Box Top is
worth 10¢ to our school—and that adds up quickly!

Mall Cents:  Shop at The Mall of Victor Valley and earn money for our
school!  Take original receipts for purchase made at The Mall of Victor
Valley from September 15, 2008 through May 15, 2009 to Guest Services.  
Your school earns points for every dollar spent in the mall.  Based on the
total accumulated points, every school receives between $250 and $2,000
in Visa gift cards.
